I played indoor soccer (sorry, football) with the group my host usually plays with. The Dutch are certainly passionate about their football, but everyone was really nice about my inability to kick with any kind of aim.
We also went to Amsterdam, where I paid a full museum price for a view of only a few works the Rijksmuseum had up. And we found an extremely cheap copy of Jamie's "Ministry of Food", from which we have been eating for the last few days. Yum yum yum yum yum.
Speaking of lovely things to eat - the best apple pie in Europe is found at Dudok, a cafe in Rotterdam. If you want to challenge me on that, go right ahead.
